THE VERDICT

★4.8 from 332 with the guides at 4.8 and value at 4.7 — people come off this happy, and two names, Sami and Djamel, do most of the work. Two numbers decide whether it will work for you: 150 kg per quad for both riders together, and two tickets meaning one machine.

IN DEPTH

The detail behind the verdict

The weight limit is the first thing to check, because it is lower than it looks. A hundred and fifty kilograms is the maximum for the quad, and on the double option that is both of you added together — two adults of seventy-five kilos are already at the line. The comparable tour from Arona allows 180 kg. If that matters, it matters before you pay, not at the briefing. The second line to read twice is about what a ticket buys.

The price is quoted per person, and the listing then says in capitals that two tickets give you one quad, shared. Book the single-quad option instead and the same block warns that if two people turn up there is a €20 surcharge. It is not a trick, but it is the opposite of how every other quad on this island prices itself, and it is the thing to get right at the booking screen. Third: there is no transfer. Nothing on the listing offers pickup, so you arrive under your own steam and you leave the same way — one reviewer describes a long wait for a taxi afterwards and the guides driving them back themselves, which is generous and not something to count on.

What you get for the money is a guided ride up through the Canary pines with a photo stop and the sunset, and the guiding is the best part. Note that this one does not promise the national park or 2 100 m at all; the description talks about a thousand metres and a view of the volcano rather than a ride into it. Arrive thirty minutes before your time — late arrivals get neither a refund nor a new date, and the listing says so three times. Bring the physical licence, and an international one if you live outside Europe. The only thing the price includes is a helmet and gloves; insurance is not mentioned on the listing at all.

Questions about this tour

Is the Teide sunset quad tour worth it?

★4.8 from 332 with value at 4.7 says yes, and the guides are the reason. Check the weight limit and the ticket rule first, because those are what catch people out rather than the ride.

What is the weight limit?

150 kg per quad, and on the shared option that is both riders together. The equivalent tour from Arona allows 180 kg, so if you are close to the line, book that one instead.

Do two tickets give us a quad each?

No. The listing says in capitals that two tickets give you one quad, shared. If you each want your own machine, book the single-quad option — and note the warning that two people arriving on one single booking pay a €20 surcharge.

Is there hotel pickup?

No. Nothing on the listing offers a transfer, so plan how you get there and, more importantly, how you get back after dark. One reviewer waited a long time for a taxi.

Does it go into Teide National Park?

The description does not promise it. It talks about the pines from around 1 000 m and views of the volcano; the tours that reach 2 100 m inside the park say so explicitly.

What licence do I need?

A physical driving licence — photographs are refused and you will not be allowed to ride. If you live outside Europe, bring an international licence as well.

What if I am late?

No refund and no reschedule. The listing states it three times, and it asks you to arrive thirty minutes before the start for the paperwork, gear and briefing.

Are photos included?

The guides take pictures and reviewers love them, but GetYourGuide’s own summary says travellers want clearer upfront information about optional photo fees. Ask what they cost before the ride, not after.

Who can ride?

Drivers from eighteen with a licence. Passengers from six years and 110 cm. Not suitable if you are pregnant, and there is the 150 kg limit.

Can I cancel?

Free cancellation up to 24 hours before, per the listing checked on 15 September 2026. Inside that window, and on the day, the rules above apply instead.
